Annotatsiya

Abstract We present a comprehensive analysis of meteorological parameters measured at the Maidanak Astronomical Observatory over the period 2013–2024, aimed at characterizing the site for the planned installation of a new 4 m telescope. The study includes annual and monthly statistics of key variables such as wind speed and direction, air temperature, and relative humidity, with more than 400,000 nighttime measurements analyzed for each parameter. Long-term temperature trends are investigated, including a comparison with earlier (1996–2002) data to assess potential signals of regional climate change. The results provide critical information on site stability and atmospheric conditions, supporting both engineering specifications and long-term operational planning for future astronomical observations.
