Annotatsiya

The paper explores Cormac McCarthy’s “The Road” (2006), a post-apocalyptic novel that examines the relationship between human survival and the ravaged environment in a world where ecological collapse has led to the near extinction of human life, through an ecocritical lens, analyzing how writer's portrayal of a desolate, post-apocalyptic world challenges readers' perceptions of nature, environmental degradation, and human responsibility. Drawing on ecocritical theories, the paper investigates themes of environmental collapse, human-nature interactions, and the ethical implications of ecological neglect.
