Peculiarities of Personality Value Orientations in a Situation of Uncertainty
Annotatsiya
The high emotional intensity, responsibility, and complexity of the education workers professional activities increase the risk of developing “mental burnout” syndrome. The impact of the personality value sphere on the manifestation of the syndrome has not been sufficiently defined, and therefore prevention measures and ways of its elimination remain focused only at external factors. The research purpose was to identify the education workers value orientations with varying levels of emotional burnout in uncertainty situations. We believe that the most important factor in preventing burnout syndrome is the block of individual factors. Research methods: The primary methods include a theoretical analysis of scientific psychological literature and empirical research methods (testing) that utilize techniques to diagnose value orientations and characteristics of emotional burnout in uncertainty situations. Conclusions and recommendations: Teachers and nursery teachers have a process of emotional, physical fatigue due to a large number of contacts with people. The study reveals differences in value orientations and life spheres among educators. For a group of nursery teachers, their own prestige, high financial situation, self-development and altruistic meanings are important. Teachers are determined to high financial position and self-realization. Life spheres analysis showed the preference in groups of nursery teachers and teachers for the passion values and professional life. Family and social life hold less significance. The research results can be practically applied for educators and psychologists.
