Optimal methods of controlling centrifugal pumps
Annotatsiya
One of the most economical ways to control the operating mode of centrifugal pumps in accordance with the changing mode of the system operation is changing the pump shaft speed. However, under the pump operation with a too large speed deviation from the nominal value, the pump parameters get significantly broken. Therefore, to improve the reliability of the pumps’ operation, it is necessary to determine boundary values of the rotation speed at which these violations occur. In this paper, several results were obtained under laboratory conditions in order to verify the operation of the pumps. The obtained results were analyzed in tabular and graphical form. The analysis shows that the reduction in the number of rotations of the working wheel of the pump leads to a quadratic reduction of the napor generated by the pump, while the working productivity of the pump leads to a linear reduction. However, a change in the number of rotations of the pump shaft causes a change in the centrifugal force generated in the pump. According to the results and calculations, the minimum number of rotations of the pump impeller is nmin = 122.1 rot/min.
