Annotatsiya

The methods to study the stress-strain state (SSS) and to assess the strength of earth dams under the influence of static loads are given in the paper taking into account the limit-stressed state of soils. To achieve these goals, algorithms and calculation programs based on IBM PC have been developed to investigate three different earth dams with their design features, built in various regions of Central Asia; these are the dams with soil cores and the heights: H= 138.5 m, H =87 m and H= 180 m. The results of the numerical implementation of the developed methods are given taking into account the elastic and elastic-plastic laws of strain of the medium.
