Annotatsiya

The relationship between on-ground and sattelite data obtained according to average monthly values of average daily sums of total solar radiation coming to the horizontal surface or Global Horizontal Irradiance (GHI) is investigated. The information obtained from six modern automated weather stations installed in the frames of the UZBTA 8008 project “Development of Solar Energy Utilization in Uzbekistan” with technical assistance of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) is selected as ground-based observations. Data from the NASA POWER, ERA5, and SARAH1E databases is selected as satellite data depending on data accessibility, the time step, and the observation period. Under data verification analysis, it is revealed that the best indicator closest to on-ground data is the NASA POWER database according to the criterion of the smallest standard deviation with a correlation of 0.9902. A linear formula for correcting NASA POWER data according to the average monthly values of the average daily amounts of GHI in order to bring them closer to on-ground-based observations is proposed. A polynomial formula of the 2nd order is proposed for determining the average annual GHI.
