Annotatsiya

In contemporary Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL), lesson planning has evolved from rigid, form-focused instructional models to flexible, learner-centered and outcome-oriented frameworks. This article critically examines the structure and key elements of modern TESOL lesson plans in response to global educational transformations and the growing emphasis on communicative competence. Drawing on established theories of Communicative Language Teaching (CLT), Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT), and learner-centered pedagogy, the study analyzes how modern lesson plans integrate learning objectives, skill-based interaction, assessment strategies, and reflective practice. A comparative analysis between traditional and modern lesson planning models reveals that contemporary TESOL lesson plans enhance learner engagement, facilitate meaningful language use, and promote sustainable language development. The findings suggest that systematic yet adaptable lesson planning is a decisive factor in improving instructional effectiveness and learner outcomes in TESOL contexts
