Annotatsiya

The development of English language subskills—vocabulary, grammar, and pronunciation—remains a central concern in contemporary English language teaching, particularly in EFL contexts where learners have limited exposure to authentic language use. Despite their importance, these subskills are often taught through traditional, form-focused approaches that fail to promote communicative competence or long-term retention. In response to ongoing pedagogical challenges and global shifts toward learner-centered education, this article investigates innovative teaching methodologies aimed at enhancing English language subskills through an integrated and pedagogically grounded framework. Adopting a mixed-emphasis approach, the study combines theoretical analysis with practical classroom-oriented insights to examine how task-based learning, technology-enhanced instruction, discovery learning, and communicative pronunciation practices contribute to subskill development. The article argues that innovative methodologies facilitate deeper linguistic awareness, increased learner engagement, and improved communicative performance. The findings highlight the need to conceptualize subskill instruction as an interconnected and dynamic process rather than isolated components of language learning. The study offers pedagogical implications for English language teachers, curriculum designers, and teacher educators seeking to modernize subskill instruction in international EFL contexts.
