Abstract

Processes of defect formation as a result of scattering of carbon atoms with energies of 10 and 100 eV by graphene at different angles of incidence are studied by the molecular dynamics method. The possibility of formation of a carbon adatom and vacancies in graphene at energies of 10 and 100 eV of the atom being scattered, respectively, depends on the angle and point of incidence of the impinging carbon atom.
