Local symmetry of the Pb1−xSnxSe lattice near the zero-gap state

By applying Mössbauer spectroscopy with isotopes 83Kr and 119Sn to Pb1−x SnxSe solid solutions, it is shown that the local symmetry and electronic structure of anionic and cationic lattice sites remain unchanged during the transition to the zero-gap state.
