Аннотация

Polyphenols' antioxidative properties and their role in regulating cellular communication benefit healing. Substances like curcumin demonstrate neuroprotective qualities for central nervous system (CNS) illnesses in experimental settings. Curcumin dietary supplementation has neuroprotective effects in genetically modified Alzheimer's disease (AD) animal models. The therapeutic potential of curcumin, resveratrol, and tea-derived polyphenols has been extensively investigated in experimental settings for CNS disorders, particularly neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease (PD) and AD. Each person's ability to absorb food-based polyphenols varies significantly and is likely quite limited due to glycosylation patterns and levels of polymerization. For example, before being incorporated as aglycones, dietary flavonoids, among the least absorbable glycosides, must be deglycosylated by mammalian β-glucosidases in the small intestine. Colorectal cancer is the second most lethal and third most frequently diagnosed cancer globally. Polyphenols have demonstrated their ability to act as chemopreventive agents by inhibiting cancer development, progression, and growth.
