Analysis of the paramagnetic properties of pyrite, arsenopyrite, and chalcopyrite at high temperatures
Annotatsiya
The Faraday method is used to measure the temperature dependence of magnetic susceptibility χ(T) of pyrite and arsenopyrite in the temperature interval 20–800°C and the magnetic susceptibility of chalcopyrite in the temperature interval 500–900°C. The complicated character of dependence χ(T) is interpreted. The paramagnetic characteristic of the samples is determined via the least-squares processing. It is demonstrated that dependence χ−1(T) of the samples in the paramagnetic phase obeys the Curie-Weiss law and that the magnetic properties of iron weaken in the presence of nonmagnetic elements (S, As, and Cu).
